Terms and Conditions for Hosting the Math Midway Exhibition
  • The Math Midway exhibition is generally available for 8-12 week bookings. After you confirm a desire to book, the Museum of Mathematics will send you a loan agreement. In general, the agreement must be returned within four weeks.
  • You are required to pay a deposit (approximately 40 percent of the rental fee) at the time you return your signed agreement. Your booking is not confirmed until both the contract and the deposit are received by MoMath.
  • The balance of the rental fee is due upon installation of the exhibition. If you cancel a signed booking within 6 months of its scheduled opening and the exhibition cannot be re-rented, you may owe a cancellation fee.
  • You are required to pay for one-way, inbound shipping of the exhibition. The Museum of Mathematics will make shipping arrangements, based on the most appropriate and economical costs, and its agents will bill you directly.
  • You are required to provide qualified people to unpack, install, maintain, and repack the exhibition.
  • You, as the hosting institution, must provide appropriate display conditions (i.e. adequate space, lighting, atmospheric controls, janitorial services, and security). There may be additional special requirements such as staffing. The Museum of Mathematics will insure the exhibition against damage and loss at all times, but you will be held responsible for any damage caused by failure to follow outlined procedures.
  • You, the host, are required to provide the Museum of Mathematics with a certificate of liability insurance naming the Museum of Mathematics as an additional insured no later than 30 days prior to your receipt of the exhibition.
  • Within 48 hours after you receive The Math Midway exhibition, you must complete and return an incoming condition report. Not more than 48 hours before you take the exhibition down, you are required to thoroughly clean it and complete an outgoing condition report. You must also report any loss or damage that occurs while the exhibition is under your control. You may not undertake any repairs without prior written authorization by the Museum of Mathematics.
