The numbers have tags that show which number families they belong to. There are printed copies of the Number Line Tour Guide available for all visitors. Read a copy ahead of time to be familiar with the symbols.

Try to creatively engage the visitors with challenges about the frequency of different number families. The number line goes from -10 to 100, so you can ask visitors about the next members of each family above 100. Note that all of these next members are described on the main Math Midway website in the Answers section, on this page.
